Who is behind this manifesto?
A promoter group of school families who want to renew the current AFA Board and to foster a more participatory, transparent model that is closer to every family.
Is this the official website of the school or of the current AFA?
No. This site is published by the promoter group to share the manifesto. The school’s website is petitestellanova.cat. This project does not replace the institutional channels of the school or of the sitting AFA Board.
What are you asking of the current AFA Board?
Greater transparency and communication, and an AFA that is open to all families. The manifesto states the wish to succeed the current AFA Board and to lead a new stage based on participation, plurality and service to the educational community.
Despite continued attempts to collaborate with the current AFA Board, and after several approaches to them, communication is difficult and far from fluid.
Will you call for new elections to the AFA Board?
Yes. Under the AFA’s own statutes (article 14), AFA Board terms last two years, without prejudice to members being re-elected if there are no alternative candidacies. New AFA Board election processes must therefore be called every two years, so that new families can put forward candidacies with new ideas and new proposals.
In addition to what the statutes require, Book Three of the Civil Code of Catalonia (regulated by Law 4/2008) specifies that the renewal of an association’s board may never exceed a maximum of five years.
How do I join the WhatsApp community?
Fill in the access request form. You must be a family member of a pupil at the school. We will send a 6-digit WhatsApp code to the mobile number you give and when you validate it, you will receive the Grup Informatiu - Famílies link.
What data do you collect and why?
On the form: full name and mobile number, with your consent. Selected country or international prefix, to normalise and send the verification code to the stated number. The phone is used to send you a WhatsApp verification code and, if you validate it, the community link. We do not collect stage or year, so as not to reveal data about children.
In addition, hosting on Vercel generates technical visit logs (such as IP address) and Vercel Web Analytics measures page views in aggregated form, without cookies. If you join the community, other members can see your number and, depending on your WhatsApp settings, your profile. The details, retention periods and transfers are in the privacy policy.
Do I need previous experience to join the team?
No. The manifesto is clear: all that is needed is a willingness to collaborate, contribute and help.
Will there be information meetings?
Yes. Open gatherings will be convened soon to explain the project in detail and to gather ideas and suggestions. Dates will be shared in the WhatsApp group and on this website once they are confirmed.
Can I read the manifesto in another language?
The header language switcher lets you move between Catalan, Spanish and English. The page address changes (/ca, /es or /en) so you can share the language that suits you.

Only requests from families of pupils at the school are accepted. The phone number is used to verify you on WhatsApp and, if the code is correct, to send you the community link.
